We’re gonna go to Psalm 68. We’ll go through the whole song, because it’s good, and it sets the stage for end times. It’s rather useful to study.
Psalm 68:1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm или Song of David. Let God [Elohim] arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.
Psalm 68:2 As smoke is driven away, так drive их away: as wax melteth before the fire, так let the wicked perish at the presence of God [Elohim].
The word for God here is Elohim which is God plural. It’s a plural word.
Psalm 68:3 But let the righteous be glad; …
That’s us. Yeah!
Psalm 68:3 … let them rejoice …
Yeah!
Psalm 68:3 … before God [Elohim]: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.
Это мы.
Psalm 68:4 Sing unto God [Elohim], sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name JAH [YAH], …
Now, in English, JAH is j-a-h, but there’s no “J’s” in Hebrew. It’s “Yod Hei” which is Yah like ” Yahrushalayim” for Jerusalem. Jerusalem is the only city named after God. “Yah.” ” Yahrushalayim”
Psalm 68:4 … and rejoice before him.
Psalm 68:5 A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, является God [Elohim] in his holy habitation.
Psalm 68:6 God [Elohim] setteth the solitary in families: …
What’s the word for solitary? “Yachiyd.” It means only, or it could also mean one.
Psalm 68:6 … the solitary only in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.
And the English translators added the word land.
Psalm 68:7 O God [Elohim], when thou wentest forth before thy people, when thou didst march through the wilderness; Selah:
Selah is a word that means exalt, lift up.
Psalm 68:8 The earth shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God [Elohim]: даже Sinai …
That would mean Mt. Sinai, I think.
Psalm 68:8 … itself was moved at the presence of God [Elohim], the God [Elohim] of Israel [Yisrael].
He’s saying, “The God of Israel.” So many think he is the God of the churches, yet it never once says that in the Bible.
Psalm 68:9 Thou, O God [Elohim], didst send a plentiful rain, whereby thou didst confirm thine inheritance, …
So, it’s saying he sent the big rain or plentiful rain to confirm their inheritance, which would be Israel and the Israelites.
Psalm 68:9 … when it was weary.
Psalm 68:10 Thy congregation hath dwelt therein: thou, O God [Elohim], hast prepared of thy goodness for the poor.
Psalm 68:11 The Lord [Adonai] gave the word: great был the company of those that published это.
So, there are many that are spreading the gospel. The word for published is Strong’s 1319. “Basar.” It means to bear the news. In other words, preached is published. It’s not a word we would normally use today in English for spreading the gospel, okay?
Psalm 68:12 Kings of armies did flee apace: …
What does apace mean? That’s not a normal word either. It means retreated. You see? The English translators distort the meanings quite frequently.
Psalm 68:12 Kings of armies did flee apace retreated: and she that tarried at home divided the spoil.
She that tarried would be the Israeli wife, I suppose.
Psalm 68:13 Though ye have lien among the pots, yet shall ye be as the wings of a dove covered with silver, and her feathers with yellow gold.
“… yet shall ye be as …” are words that are added in.
Psalm 68:13 Though ye have lien among the pots, …
What is pots? See, you can’t trust these translations. Pots is “shaphath” in Hebrew. It means hook-shaped pegs, hooks, or pots. So, it says “among the pots.” Then it just says …
Psalm 68:13 … yet shall ye be as the wings of a dove …
Okay, the word for wings is that “kanaph” word.
Psalm 68:13 … covered …
Covered is “chaphah” in Hebrew.
Psalm 68:13 … with silver, and her feathers with yellow gold.
Psalm 68:14 When the Almighty scattered kings in it, it was white as snow in Salmon.
Psalm 68:15 The hill of God [Elohim] is as the hill of Bashan; an high hill как the hill of Bashan.
Psalm 68:16 Why leap ye, ye high hills? this is the hill который God [Elohim] desireth to dwell in; yea, the LORD [Yehovah/YHVH] will dwell in it for ever.
The LORD here is Yehovah/YHVH which could mean the glory of God of Israel. Which God desireth – that’s Elohim. And that’s probably Mt. Zion where the next temple will be. And I expect New Jerusalem will come down and be – maybe just touching Mt. Zion or very close with a walkway to get in or something like that.
Psalm 68:17 The chariots of God [Elohim] являются twenty thousand, даже thousands of angels: the Lord [Adonai] является among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place.
Psalm 68:18 Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: …
I think that’s the Second Exodus, the return – leading captivity captive. Let’s break it down. The first word is captivity. That word means to take captive. The second word is captive. That word means captivity. I believe it returns the captivity. It’s reversing it.
Psalm 68:18 … thou hast received gifts for men; yea, для the rebellious also, that the LORD [YAW] God [Elohim] might dwell among them.
Psalm 68:19 Благословенный быть the Lord [Adonai], who daily loadeth us with benefits, …
“… with benefits …” is added. The word “who” is also added. So, let’s break it down better.
Psalm 68:19 Благословенный быть the Lord [Adonai], who daily loadeth us with benefits, даже the God
[El] of our salvation. Selah.
The word for salvation is “yeshuah.” It’s where Yeshua’s name comes from. El is another word for God.
Psalm 68:20 He that is our God [El] является the God [El] of salvation; and unto GOD [Yehovah/YHVH] the Lord [Adonai] belong the issues from death.
“He that is” is added. Salvation isn’t “yeshuah” here. This is a different word. It’s “moshaah” which means deliverance or saving. Moses’ name is “Mosheh” which means drawing out o Translation. rescued so it’s the same word. I spell it Moshe.
So, it should read like this.
Psalm 68:20 He that is our God [El] является the God [El] of salvation; and unto GOD [Yehovah/YHVH] the Lord [Adonai] belong the issues from death.
It’s a bad translation, I think. The word issues is “totsaah.” Escaping from death. Confusing translation. If you’re escaping from death, we’re talking eternal life. They seem to be concealing true meaning again in the English Translation.
Psalm 68:21 But God [Elohim] shall wound the head of his enemies, и the hairy scalp of such an one as goeth on still in his trespasses.
Psalm 68:22 The Lord [Adonai] said, …
Let’s make sure the word said is speak. It is speak.
Psalm 68:22 The Lord [Adonai] said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring my people again from the depths of the sea:
Well, this is your Second Exodus.
Psalm 68:23 That thy foot may be dipped in the blood of thine enemies, и the tongue of thy dogs in the same.
Psalm 68:24 They have seen thy goings, O God [Elohim]; даже the goings of my God [El], my King, in the sanctuary.
Psalm 68:25 The singers went before, the players on instruments …
So, you have singers and those playing instruments which is normally going to be Levites in the temple.
Psalm 68:25 … followed after; among them were the damsels playing with timbrels.
Timbrels would be tambourines.
Psalm 68:26 Bless ye God [Elohim] in the congregations, даже the Lord [Yehovah/YHVH],
from the fountain of Israel.
Fountain means spring or fountain.
Psalm 68:27 There является little Benjamin с their ruler, the princes of Judah и their council, the princes of Zebulun, и the princes of Naphtali.
This looks like the Second Exodus is what happened, and these are the lost tribes – Zebulun, Naphtali, stuff like that. So, the Second Exodus has happened.
Psalm 68:28 Thy God [Elohim] hath commanded thy strength: strengthen, O God [Elohim], that which thou hast wrought for us.
Psalm 68:29 Because of thy temple at Jerusalem [Yerushalayim] …
It’s after the Second Exodus, so it’s probably after Zechariah 12, and the temple is there.
Psalm 68:29 … shall kings bring presents unto thee.
Psalm 68:30 Rebuke the company of spearmen, the multitude of the bulls, with the calves of the people, till every one submit himself with pieces of silver: scatter thou the people что delight in war.
Those are the bad ones that like having war.
Psalm 68:31 Princes shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hands unto God [Elohim].
There it is. There’s very little about Ethiopia, but Ethiopia turns to Yehovah. That’s it. Ethiopia’s in Greater Israel.
Psalm 68:32 Sing unto God [Elohim], ye kingdoms of the earth; O sing praises unto the Lord [Adonai]; Selah:
Now, a lot of people in Ethiopia are black, and I’ve always said there’s a very distinct possibility that one of the tribes or more is Black. They’re not all black. The North American Indians appear to be one or more of the tribes, but not all the tribes are North American Indians either. And India probably has a tribe in there, too, the country India, not the North American Indians.
Psalm 68:33 To him that rideth upon the heavens of heavens, which were of old; lo, he doth send out his voice, and that a mighty voice.
That’s God.
Psalm 68:34 Ascribe ye strength unto God [Elohim]: his excellency является over Israel, …
There, you got it. What’s the word for excellency? Pride. He’s taking pride, pleasure, in Israel. Remember, he says in Zechariah 1 he’s jealous for Yahrushalayim. He wants it back. He wants us back. Jealous. He doesn’t want us serving other gods.
Psalm 68:34 … and his strength является in the clouds.
Because the clouds mean clouds? Yeah. It means cloud.
Psalm 68:35 O God [Elohim], thou art terrible …
What is the word terrible? To fear, to be afraid, to revere. Thou art to be feared.
Psalm 68:35 … out of thy holy places: the God [El] of Israel является he that giveth strength and power unto его people. Blessed быть God [Elohim].
This is the redeemed and restored Israel. So, we can gather that Ethiopia does come around, okay? There’s not a whole lot about this, but you get some of it.
We also see this popping up in Isaiah 18.
People don’t usually talk about Ethiopia. You know, some of the countries that are in Greater Israel, in Africa, read not like Somalia, Djibouti, Eritrea – they’re not real Biblical named countries – Kenya, Uganda and stuff like that. So, you have to go back and look at the map of Ethiopia which I can do now. It is said they also can be called Cush. So, the Ethiopia that we see today popped up in 1885. It’s not necessarily the same geography, but hopefully, I can find a typical map of Ethiopia. It’s called Kush with a “K.”
It appears to be towards the bottom of the Red Sea. It’s sort of where Ethiopia is by the bottom of the Red Sea, but Kush seems to go inland into Africa a lot further than the modern day Ethiopia.
And you can see that, what they call Ethiopia, Kush, tends to be pretty high up compared to the Ethiopia today, and it pushes inland to the left or to the west, whatever you want to call it. It’s interesting. This is an old time map, you know.
Okay. Back to Isaiah 18.
Isaiah 18:1 Woe to the land shadowing with wings, which является beyond the rivers of Ethiopia:
So, it’s talking about Ethiopia, and the word for Ethiopia is “kush.” It’s probably better spelled with the “k” at the end of it. The son of Ham and grandson of Noah, and progeny apparent of the southernmost peoples located in Africa. The people descended from Kush. Their land is occupied by Kush around the southern parts of the Nile. But remember that everything to the right hand or the east of the Nile River in Africa is Greater Israel. Okay.
Isaiah 18:2 That sendeth ambassadors by the sea, …
Isaiah 18:1 Woe to the land shadowing with wings, which является beyond the rivers of Ethiopia:
Isaiah 18:2 That sendeth ambassadors by the sea, even in vessels of bulrushes upon the waters, говоря, Go, ye swift messengers, to a nation scattered and peeled, …
Now, we peel potatoes, but let’s look at this word peeled. “Morat.” It’s Strong’s 4178 in Hebrew. Scoured, polished, smooth. Strong’s tells us obstinate, independent.
Isaiah 18:2 … and peeled obstinate, to a people terrible …
What is the word terrible? It’s “yare.” It means to fear, be afraid, inspire reverence, Godly fear, to revere. Okay, so the word terribly is probably coming from the old King James English.
Isaiah 18:2 That sendeth ambassadors by the sea, even in vessels of bulrushes upon the waters, говоря, Go, ye swift messengers, to a nation scattered and peeled obstinate, to a people terrible revered from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden down, whose land the rivers have spoiled!
Isaiah 18:3 All ye inhabitants of the world, …
Let’s check the word for world. “Tebel.” Yep, world.
Isaiah 18:3 … and dwellers on the earth, see ye, when he lifteth up an ensign [a sign] on the mountains; …
Now, the word for mountains is “har” which means mountain. Har Migeddo is the mountain of Migeddo. They call it Armageddon because they don’t know Hebrew, and they run the words together. So, these translators that said they knew the Hebrew are barking at the moon. They’re kidding you. They don’t know much Hebrew.
Isaiah 18:3 … an ensign on the mountains; and when he bloweth a trumpet, hear ye.
So, on the mountains. A sign on the mountains. It could be Mount Zion, the temple coming up there. The next temple comes down from heaven, as I’ve taught many times with the scriptures, mostly from Ezekiel 37.
Isaiah 18:4 For so the LORD [Yehovah/YHVH] said unto me, I will take my rest, and I will consider in my dwelling place like a clear heat upon herbs, и like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.
Isaiah 18:5 For afore the harvest, …
The word for afore is ” puniyim” which is face. So, it’s saying for facing the harvest. I think it means before the harvest or at the harvest maybe.
Isaiah 18:5 … when the bud is perfect, …
See, they don’t know nothing – these translators. They don’t know much Hebrew maybe none at all. They seemed to have worked from Greek, Latin and of course mostly from other English translations.
Isaiah 18:5 … and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks, and take away и cut down the branches.
So, he’s making an analogy with the harvest. He’s gonna cut off the sprigs which is Strong’s 2150. “Zalzal.” It could be a twig. I would say it’s a twig.
Isaiah 18:5 … he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks, and take away и cut down the branches.
Isaiah 18:6 They shall be left together unto the fowls of the mountains, …
I guess the birds of the mountains.
Isaiah 18:6 … and to the beasts of the earth: …
Yeah. It means beast, in general.
Isaiah 18:6 … and to the beasts of the earth: …
The earth is “ha eretz.”
Isaiah 18:6 … and the fowls shall summer upon them, and all the beasts of the earth shall winter upon them.
I guess they’re going to rotate.
Isaiah 18:7 In that time shall the present be brought unto the LORD of hosts [Yehovah/YHVH of armies] of a people scattered and peeled, and from a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation meted out and trodden under foot, whose land the rivers have spoiled, to the place of the name of the LORD of hosts [Yehovah/YHVH of armies], the mount Zion.
It could also be talking about us. It’s a little hard to understand.
So, there’s not a lot to be teaching directly out of the Bible on Ethiopia or Kush. There’s stuff there, but it’s not plentiful, and it’s not abundant. However, we do get some information about Ethiopia.
