1 Thessalonians 4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
Paul refers to the dead as asleep because dead means dead dead. They’re never going to come back to life. But he says they’re asleep because they will come back to life.
1 Thessalonians 4:14 For if we believe that Jesus [Yeshua] died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus [Yeshua] will God [Yehovah/YHVH] bring with him.
So, that’s saying those asleep in Yeshua will be brought with him. But with whom? With Yeshua? Or with Yehovah? The translation is a little tough to understand.
The word for “him” is Strong’s G846 means oneself. I don’t see Yeshua, when he comes back for the Millennium, bringing them [those asleep in Yeshua] with him. I think it’s Yehovah who brings them with himself because it says, “We will meet them in the air.” [1 Thessalonians 4:17 “Then we which are alive and remain – this would include Yeshua since this is after the Millennium (see below) – shall be caught up together with them –those who were asleep in Yeshua – in the clouds, to meet the Lord – Yehovah/YHVH – in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord – Yehovah/YHVH.”]
1 Thessalonians 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord [Yehovah/YHVH], that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord [Yehovah/YHVH] shall not prevent them which are asleep.
1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord [Yehovah/YHVH] himself shall descend from heaven …
This is Father God Yehovah. The word says he is a consuming fire so the whole universe burns up when he comes. This is why he only comes to this fallen earth at the last day it exists.it burns up from his presence, he is that holy.
Heb 12:29 For our God is a consuming fire.
1 Thessalonians 4:16 … with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God [Yehovah/YHVH]: and the dead in Christ [Yeshua] shall rise first:
So, this is after the Millennium. This is after satan is released and gathers people like the sand of the sea to surround Jerusalem and New Jerusalem. And Father God Yehovah comes down from heaven [to the clouds, not to earth] and burns everything up. But he brings those who are asleep in Christ with him when he comes down [to the clouds], because they’re not in the pit, in a bad place, and he can do that.
Revelation 20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
Revelation 20:8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
Revelation 20:9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
Revelation 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord [Yehovah/YHVH] himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God [Yehovah/YHVH]: and the dead in Christ [Yeshua] shall rise first:
There’s a differentiation between Father God Yehovah and Yeshua HaMashiach [Christ].
1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds [in the heavens], to meet the Lord [Yehovah/YHVH] in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord [Yehovah/YHVH].
The translators were incorrect in using Lord for Yehovah in in these verses instead of God. If these words “Lord” were actually Yeshua, it would make no sense and would not line up with the rest of the verses both in 1 Thessalonians 4 and in Revelation 20.
